  As a waitress and a member of the bar staff, my role was to make sure customers were happy and that they had everything they required. To serve food and drinks in both casual day to day situations and also formal black tie events, so I learnt to work within both a formal and informal environment. Gained a larger insight as to how a golf club establishment is run.

  A receptionist role that entailed, preparing, cooking and serving breakfast, helping to service rooms, room service, turning down rooms, dealing with bookings and guests requests. It was head office for two restaurants which required me to have to monitor emails and booking for them as well as the hotel, alongside placing orders and sorting out invoices. As part of my duties, I also had to account sales and draw up bills for departing customers. Being a small hotel, I personally took on various roles and responsibilities and over time I have developed more confidence and organization in order to run such day to day business. Show less

  My role as part of this organisation is to develop a relationship with the French children I work alongside in order to successfully introduce them to and improve their levels of English. I spent my year with Bilingual Kids working alongside a 5 year old boy. We communicated only in English which proved challenging at times due to his lack of understanding, but through the employment of games, his enthusiasm to learn and communicate in English started to progress.

  I worked alongside the managing director, sourcing potential clients using various channels of communications such as LinkedIn. This task required me to work with the companies database and contact businesses by phone. I also assisted other employees with a range of work including sourcing awards that clients could apply for, sending out prizes and awards to competition winners and journalists on behalf of clients in return for reviews and a growing awareness for their products.Context Public Relations were responsible for the PR for a 3 day international press conference for Broadband World Forum 2014, where i managed the press lounge. This included distributing various press releases for the attending telecommunications companies (Cisco, BT etc.) and advising and directing journalists on the event schedule. Show less
