      Technician assistant

I hiked to isolated assessment sites in various weather conditions with over 50 pounds of gear. I assembled, checked and disassembled mist nets. I recorded species, age, sex, weight, wing length and White nose scarring of bats that were caught and then released. I was also responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of field equipment.

      Aug 2012 - Feb 2013
      Aquatic Technician

I electro-fished Larry’s Creek and analyzed the biomass of native and non-native fish species. I identified and recorded the species, quantity and measurements of all fish that were caught and released in the project assessment area. I later used species length to weight conversion charts to estimate the mass of all fish. I also tested water chemistry parameters such as pH, salinity, specific conductivity, color, hardness and alkalinity. I compiled all data in excel spreadsheets that were later given to the PA Fish and Boat Commission for use in a larger project. Show less

      Feb 2013 - May 2013
      Work Study Student

I assisted in habitat restoration projects for American Woodcock and Golden-winged Warblers. My work consisted of identifying and removing invasive vegetation manually and with the use of herbicides. I planted seedlings that would provide habitat and food for the species we were targeting to help in our conservation efforts. As a part of this process I separated and assorted the quantity of various species of seedlings that were designated for each restoration area. I also worked on stream bank stabilization projects in which I used a total station to survey project sites. I obtained web soil surveys and PNDI reports, wrote Act 14 Notices, assisted in Design CADD drawings, GIS mapping, and prepared Environmental Impact Statements. The work I did here was a collaborative effort with other organizations and private landowners that I was in contact with on a regular basis. Show less

      Sept 2013 - Jun 2014
      Quality Control Analyst

I was responsible for running sample analysis on raw materials, in-process samples, finals, and retest samples. I evaluated test results and determined the course of action for in-process samples based on the manufacturing procedure and batch history. It was important to maintain proper documentation and recheck all calculations. I had to clearly communicate with the guys in production what the next step would be for each product. I had to have excellent oral and written communication skills to ensure that the lab and production crewswere constantly aware of which step each product was at, because there were always several different products being made in separate vessels at the same time. I led shift-change meetings to inform the next crew and managers where each product was in its process and any irregularities that may have occurred during my shift. I was tasked with calibrating equipment, maintaining lab solutions, reagents, and their corresponding logbooks, as well as cleaning the lab and glassware, and assisting in maintaining the inventory log. All of this was done while adhering to safety procedures in an environmentally sounds area. Show less

As Laboratory Technician IV, I grind away at some of the details of running a lab—enforcing safety and security regulations, maintaining equipment, keeping detailed records, and generally keeping everything running smoothly.I began my cannabis career as one of the first cannabis extractors in Pennsylvania, starting out with CO2 extraction and post-processing, soon followed by hydrocarbon extraction. I have had a heavy hand in developing SOPs and document tracking to meet state regulations, and tracking vital data for corporate decision making. I formulate products and am responsible for manifesting samples to a third party testing laboratory via the state's seed to sale tracking system (MJ Freeway).I have a solid understanding of cGMPs and have undergone OSHA 10 Training.
