  As part of my university 6 week placement I spent my time working as sport development officer for Sheffield. This involved me working from grass roots to gifted and talented level. I had to deliver numerous sessions teaching fundamentals to young children in both a school pe and sport sessions. Also, I had to help develop the partnership's gifted and talented programme for young people who are showing promise in their chosen sports. This meant sourcing specialist coaches and helping develop their sporting skills. These are a few things among a vast amount of other things the job entailed.
