  Front Desk Agent

  I worked as a coop student at the Quattro Hotel in Sault Ste Marie. During my time there, I was on the front desk, I was the first face customers would see when they walked in. I helped them get their room keys, create reservations, and guiding them throughout the hotel. I handled money with the gift shop, I stocked the gift shop and was able to use the technology on hand with ease. I was able to navigate the computer we used very easily. With being a front desk agent, you have to answer the phone and be as polite as ever, customers do not want to talk to rude angry people, along with being very organized. Filing papers and room keys was very critical, if you messed one thing up it was very difficult to complete a task at hand. Show less

  At the beginning of my Metro job, I worked as a cashier on the front end. during my days there I would work with cash, and customers I was able to answer necessary questions along with being able to getting the customers items bagged in a timely manner. After working on cash for about 7 months, I was giving the opportunity to move to the Cut Fruit department of the store. I agreed as it gave me an opportunity for new skills, I have been working in this department since. Working in this food production area involves being able to work quickly while safely to make each item, I answer the phone and create the orders for customers. I am also there to help customers find what they are looking for throughout the store. Show less
