      Aug 2001 - Dec 2006
      Teaching Assistant

I was responsible for preparing and teaching the laboratory sections of the following courses: Genetics, Plant Physiology, Biology of Land Plants. These laboratory sections required 1 hour lectures, quiz and test preparation, and laboratory write ups and notebook grading. I was also responsible for assisting the students with any questions they had about the course materials.

      Feb 2007 - now

I transitioned from being a postdoctoral scholar to a Research Professional. My main projects focus on the determination of the role of the PAX3 transcription factor and Glycogen Synthase Kinase-3 in melanocyte stem cells and in melanoma oncogenesis, proliferation, resistance to apoptosis and metastasis. My projects have expanded to include development of an inducible melanoma mouse model, and examination of the role of ETS1, c-Met, CXCR4, and FOXD3 in melanoma. I am leading several projects and am responsible for training and mentoring students in the laboratory. Show less
