      AAS Electrical Instrumentation Honors

      Activities and Societies: Yavapai College ROV Team. The MATE ROV competition was fun and interesting. We came together after a last-minute problem with our ROV and still placed 23rd in the International Competition in Houston in June of 2011. Associate of Applied Science - Electronics Instrumentation Degree at Yavapai College. This program was known as the "Mining Degree". In addition to Intensive programs in Electronics Technology, Microprocessors, Process Control, Troubleshooting, Mathematics, it required courses in Welding, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, PLCs, Rigging, Mine Safety, Electrical Safety, and Conduit Bending and Installation.

      Part of a team of volunteers that razed and replaced homes after natural disasters and built new structures for non-profit organizations. Repaired drywall in damaged homes that could be repaired. Skills include drywall hanging, drywall finishing, stucco application, HVAC installation, and carpentry.

Extensive component level rework on aircraft audio modules including removal and installation of surface-mount and through-hole components, as small as 0201 components. During this time had updated J-STD solder certification.

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment including 3D printers, anechoic chamber, pcb milling machines, lathe, band saw, drill press, dremel, and other lab equipment. Components include electric motors, gearboxes, power supplies, and electronics.Test prototype antenna designs using VNA's and Anechoic Chamber.Maintain lab organization and order materials as needed.Experienced in using lab equipment like drill press, metal brake, lathe, band saw, dremel, hand tools, and power tools.
