  Full operational management responsibility of the competence center “risk, safety and environment” the section risk management & safety. This section, comprising about 20 staff members, is responsible for supporting the development of large industrial projects regarding all safety and environmental issues during the whole project lifecycle (from feasibility up to commissioning). This in technological sectors in which Tractebel Engineering is active: power plants, renewable energy, LNG and gas storage, infrastructure projects. Activities include major hazard assessment, process and explosion safety, conformity assessment and management, QRA, SIL, RAMS, construction site safety, HSE permitting, EIA, HSE auditing, accident investigation, HSE and process safety managing systems.My recent experience includes: • Development of quantitative reliability Assessment approach;• Lead safety manager for the design and build of a 850MWe CCGT Power plant located near Istanbul including review of process & explosion safety, CE conformity, construction site safety management audit;• Development of project safety strategy, safety requirement specification for pre-FEED contractor, follow-up of pre-FEED contractor for the development of a LNG liquefaction plant/storage/pipeline• Development and maintenance OHSAS 18001 safety management system. Definition and follow-up of the H&S action plans, follow-up of H&S KPI, H&S management reviews, safety leadership and culture programs;• QRA Analyses of the external safety impact of wind farms; • SEVESO safety analyses report and QRA • Safety consultancy and support related to construction site safety management - Construction and commissioning of a 800MW coal fired power plant. The mission consisted in the improvement and adjustment of the construction site safety at the stage where construction phase and commissioning phase did overlap. Show less During this period I worked on a wide range of nuclear safety activities such as: managing nuclear safety assessment reports including relation with authorities, coordination of the independent safety review on system modifications in a Nuclear power plant, radiological/environmental impact assessment, on-site responsible for several safety tests during commissioning of nuclear power stations after steam generator replacement, and lot of other nuclear safety studies. Clients where Electrabel nuclear power plants of Doel and Tihange, radwaste storage and management at Belgoproces, IRE, NIRAS.I also collabored in the development of safety standards at IEC and IAEA.
