  As part of "Școala Altfel. TOT Educație!" team, I advised and supported the New Horizons Foundation team to organize public consultations regarding the legal framework of "Scoala altfel", a publicly funded educational program. I have also assisted the NHF`s working group (9 members, 9 organisations represented) on improving a position paper advocating for a better legal framework Școala Altfel! national program (2015-2016). Finally, I have collaborated with the Ministry of Education and other main stakeholders to implement the policy recommendations developed by the NHF`s working group. Show less As a program director, my main mission was to lead and support a team of 4-13 people across Romania in charge of projects developing life skills among over 2000 young people. My main responsibilities were:To oversee 4 national projects with a total budget of 250.000 € financed by Romanian American Foundation, Civil Society Development Foundation and a local entrepreneur (Anca Bahna, Vaslui);To write grants for public and private funds (e.g. Civil Society Development Foundation, ING Bank) – winning two grants with a total value of 230.000 €; To reform the human resources structure of the IMPACT program by switching from a centralized structure to a decentralized, project-based one and piloting a performance evaluation system;To restructure the monitoring system of IMPACT by connecting the program`s performance indicators with the annual objectives and applying the logic of output, outcome, impact; implementing a CRM. Show less IMPACT – A Sustainable Youth Development Model is a project aiming to strengthen IMPACT, which is youth-program implemented in over 100 schools in Romania. According to the project`s objectives, the sustainability of the program will be achieved by improving the team`s results on fundraising, communication, impact evaluation, the management of long-term partnership with the Romanian schools, better data & financial management, initiating strategic partnerships and improved replication strategy. My main responsibilities were:• Monitoring the team`s progress on developing & implementing 3 years - strategies and action plans for the above areas of improvement;• Evaluating the achieved, intermediary results and propose new sets of actions;• Managing specific project activities such as mini-grants competitions for schools, national events, planning staff meetings, regional trainings etc.• Facilitating planning & evaluation meetings and trainings for teachers & youth;• Manage the relationship with the project partners.   As a member of the Minister's team, I have actively contributed to initiatives focused on equity, initial teacher training, and reducing violence against children.In the realm of equity and inclusion, my efforts have centered on enhancing policies related to school meals, scholarships for students, inclusive school management, and the the recognition of teachers who successfully reduce dropout rates and promote inclusion. I have also played a key role in improving the quality and accessibility of school counseling services and additional learning support. Regarding initial teacher training, I have helped establish professional standards that integrate principles of equity, democratic culture, and combating violence. These standards have been instrumental in shaping the new initial training programs for early childhood and primary education teachers.To combat violence against children, I contributed to developing a comprehensive legal and procedural framework for case management. Additionally, I initiated the national prevention program "Împreună prindem curaj!", aimed at fostering a safer school environment for children.Throughout my work, I have successfully collaborated with UNESCO (as Sherpa for HLSC for SDG4), DG Reform (TSI Projects), World Bank (ROSE & other initiatives), European Council (INSCHOOL project), and various other ministries. ractices.
