During my time I also substituted purser on board and then with responsibility for the ship's hotel operations, accounting, bookings, sightseeing excursions.

  Som ny i guideyrket blev jag direkt efter avslutad guideskola skickad till Sri Lanka. Här jobbade jag en vecka tillsammans med platschefen som sedan skulle resa vidare. Jag blev då ansvarig för destinationen samt skötte även destinationen Maldiverna på distans. I jobbet ingick sedvanligt guidejobb, hålla god kontakt med hotellen, fakturering, hotellbokning, hantera reklamationer och upprätthålla ett gott samarbete med den lokala agenten. Efter avsultad säsong på Sri Lanka väntade guidejobb på den grekiska ön Samos. Här flöt mestadels säsongen på lugnt men då den stora branden på Samos 2000 pågick sattes vi guider på prov. Evakueringar av gäster, flyg som fick omdirigeras till andra öar och när man väl hann sova var det på kontorets klinkergolv. Under den dryga vecka branden pågick, visade det sig hur ett starkt team kan förflytta berg. Show less

  Steward at Sterling Airlines based at Arlanda Airport. As a flight steward, I acted according to Sterling's strong security mindset and focus on sales. We flew a lot of charter passengers for various travel agencies and during my year in the air, low-cost flights were also introduced strongly, of which Sterling was a forerunner.

  I started my work for Solresor as an transfer guide in Gran Canaria where I lived. The tour operator were missing one guide at the destination, so I was asked if I could also take hotel meetings 3 days a week. During these meetings, guests' questions were answered, complaints were handled, excursions sold and cars rented out.

  Airport representative for Apollo and Novair at Arlanda Airport. The job consisted of customary travel agency jobs such as sales of travel, insurance, ticket assistance, contacting customers. We were the link between Apollo and Sas ground handling. Send late bookings to the seating department, supervise the check-in and gate and arrange the upgrades. Check the catering before departure at LSG Skychefs. Office work for Novair such as updating CIF lists for cabin crew and other practical work in the crew room. Also downloading Novair's A321's flight data, as well as updating the pilots' tabs in the cockpit. Show less

  The conference host's job on board m/s Viking Cinderella consisted largely of customer service. Be responsive to the wishes and needs of the guests, and feel free to exceed these. A certain staff responsibility as I led the day-to-day work at the department, and followed up on achieving our goals. I was responsible for the conference's gift shop and was a member of Viking Line's shop council. Participated in both exposure courses and additional sales training. In this role, you are the spider in the web. Handles almost all mail correspondence with the sales breeding and external partners. Sat in on planning meetings together with events and charter customers. As conference manager, I was also part of the ship's service management group. Show less
