Supervises team of three Planners and one Administrative Aide to ensure responsive program delivery. Evaluates effectiveness of program implementation and introduces innovative solutions to further the program mission. Integrates state of the art research into design standards used by program and works with team to develop new materials for education on all parts of the program, with particular emphasis on plants, planting design, soils, permeable pavements and other LID/ RainScapes techniques which are to be built. Educates Montgomery County property owners about the ways that they can reduce stormwater runoff and improve the environmental performance and aesthetic appearance of their properties by voluntarily installing RainScapes. Provides technical support to other jurisdictions and programs working to set up incentive programs for their storm water programs and is sought out as a speaker at conferences on the topics of rain gardens, incentive programs and design. Developed database approach for program to move the application / project process from paper to online which expedited and expanded the ability to review, approve and oversee rebate projects. Provided technical review of all projects and developed standardized inspection criteria. Worked to get contracting mechanisms in place to allow for staff augmentation to meet demand.
