Show less The overall responsibility of the this role, (in conjunction with the existing 'development manager' role), was to ensure that the highest quality of technical support and ensuring the delivery of the product elements for projects associated with users of Energymiser systems across the globe (including but not limited to the Australia, NZ and the UK). This involves managing the flow of day-to-day operational work, overseeing the development of fixes and enhancements, mentoring the team to make them self-sufficient and self-organising, and refining and improving the Service Delivery practice.This role required interaction with the product development teams to ensure what was being provided was fit for purpose and to provide a feedback loop on product development. There was a great deal of project and product management alike along with business analysis and requirement gatheringThe initial focus of this role was on building strength within both the infrastructure and software sides of the business in an effort to move the company from a small one-client entity into a worldwide success. One of the key elements of this was to construct and implement a strategy to move from small, ad hoc assignments to large, multi-phase programs of development for the company’s flagship application ‘Energymiser’. As the leader for this application, the role was also exceptionally client-facing both in the project instantiation phases and the post-implementation support and review phases.Responsibilities:- Concurrently managing a team of up to 15-20 engineers including Software Engineers, Web Developers, Installation Engineers and Project Engineers etc. in several projects budgeted anywhere between $500K and several millions of dollars.- Management of the entire software development team including career development, performance review of team members, leave approval, timesheet approval and day-to-day resource allocation and task assignment.- Identifying areas or activities of significant risk and to minimise this risk through appropriate action.- Creating and implementing road maps for the 'Energymiser' system based on known business requirements.- Co-managed the implementation of TTG’s biggest UK installations.
