Working as the Safety Officer/Training Officer/Environmental Officer of the ship responsible for the implementation of complying with SMS Procedures and ISM implementation. My job involves familiarisation and training of all personnel on board in health, safety and environmental related operational matters and the training of the Officers and crew in the lifesaving and fire fighting procedures, ensuring the conformance to all safety and hygiene rules and practices. Responsible for investigation and analysing of injuries, accidents and other safety and pollution-related incidents and proposing rectification action in order to avoid recurrence, loading, discharging and ballasting Operations as well as maintenance of the cargo during the voyage in accordance with Charterer’s Instructions and with due regard to the vessel’s strength, stability and cargo characteristics.
