  Operation & Control Department, Control Division-COA Duties and Responsibilities:1. Monitor transmission substation &lines loads and take corrective actions to confirm system reliability.2. Monitors and controls the operation of the power systems via master control during normal &emergency operating conditions. 3. Supervise field personnel of the step-by-step switching and tagging of devices. 4. Monitor system alarms and dispatch maintenance staff.5. Controlling transmission network voltages within the operationally limits.6. Make necessary operating arrangements to reduce loads in substations that are exceeding their firm capacity.7. Perform all switching to isolate high voltage equipment. 8. Issue and cancel Safety Documents to ensure safety of all field personnel when working on high voltage electrical equipment.9. Take necessary and proper corrective actions to restore system back to normal following system disturbance. 10. Coordinates all emergency maintenance outages with the concern personals. 11. Notify management of system changes & incident.12. Maintains a narrative log of all events that occur and Prepare and publish daily system operation reports.13. Monitor and investigate the system performance, voltage profile and loading pattern of the transmission system. 8. Investigate the generating unit’s performance following system disturbances and annual performance testing. 9. Investigate operation of protective devices following system disturbances. 10.
