      As a representative of Global Youth Ambassadors, I was the given the opportunity to discuss current issues with the Lord Mayor of Birmingham and the US ambassador to the UK, Mr Robert Johnson IV. One particular issue we discussed was how to tackle to problem of knife crime within the UK. I was able to learn about the process that follows when a person is found to be carrying a weapon.

      I am currently ProBono Project LIGHT Director, I chose to apply for this project as I want to contribute to mitigating the harsh impacts that homelessness has on individuals. Not only do I want to aid individuals with short term struggles regarding food but also long term issues such as employment and housing to better their quality of life. I'm excited to learn more about the demographic in Leicester and help tackle the inequality.
