      RTI was implementing a 2-month anti-Malarial Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) project in Homa Bay County, in conjunction with the Ministry of Health, GoK. My responsibilities involved:1. Project Management: Overall program management and leadership for the successful achievement of the objectives and daily targets of the IRS exercise in Riana Division, Ndhiwa District.2. Human Resource Management: Development of CSOs project proposal background and summaries in preparation for assessment for funding; providing support to CSOs in project budget revision and setting of targets for project implementation; providing assistance to staff in preparation and signing of grant contracts by CSOs.3. Occupational Health and Safety: Ensuring that the safety protocols are adhered to in the preparation and application of the IRS insecticide; taking the necessary measures to ensure that Sprayers put on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on duty. 4. Logistics Coordination: The chief custodian of all the RTI equipment at the Magina operational site accounting for all the logistical materials provided for the project; supervision of all the operational vehicles, signing and verifying their worksheets.5. Capacity Building: Training the MOH Divisional staff on IRS; Continuous on-job training of the Spray Operators on IRS and PPE; Technical support to the Divisional Mobilizer and his team for maximum reach and achievement of project targets.6. Monitoring and Evaluation: Supervising the timely and correct collection and entry of IRS data by the spray teams; collecting; verifying and cleaning the data forms for weekly submission to the County data office; field monitoring of spray and mobilization activities; participating in the baseline and end of project surveys.7. Knowledge Management: Documenting community interest stories and best practices for lessons learning; weekly progress report writing for the County coordination office. Show less

School Health Promotion: Support schools in promoting health, hygiene and sanitation through health education, capacity building school health clubs, deworming and menstrual hygiene promotion.6. Stakeholder Engagement: Occasionally represent CCM in the Health Partners’ Coordination and Cluster Meetings; forge viable partnerships with humanitarian organizations and government agencies to enhance health and nutrition status of the target communities.7. Organizing and monitoring The Fred Hollows Foundation Kenya's (FHFK) engagements with the County health teams, relevant County departments and other partners.7.
