I researched and developed a targeted list of disability and disability rights programs in the United States to which I sent creative marketing materials promoting MRP's various publications.

      As Immunize Colorado's communications director, I develop and execute the organization’s community outreach, awareness building, and communications strategies. I write, design, and disseminate print and digital materials including fact sheets, reports, blog posts, press releases, website content, social media graphics, annual reports, and position statements to bolster awareness for vaccines and IC’s initiatives. I direct the organization's media relations, including writing and disseminating press releases, crafting key messages, coordinating interviews, and building relationships with members of the media. I also direct our organization's digital communications efforts, including managing and updating our organization's websites, creating and disseminating digital newsletters and event marketing content, and working with our communications manager to implement our social media strategy. I build new and maintain existing partnerships with local, state, and national public health partners and collaborate on community outreach projects, including paid and earned media campaigns, analyzing impact to identify key insights and pivot strategy accordingly. I serve on the leadership team, hiring and onboard new staff and board members, and leading all-staff meetings. In 2022, I led the development of a new three-year, board-approved organizational strategic plan.I plan and host our annual fundraising event. I secure sponsorship, create and disseminate event marketing, create event runs-of-show, coordinate vendors and guest speakers, and manage day-of event logistics.Finally, in 2021, I spearheaded development of a new beautifully designed, audience-focused, easily-navigable, and ADA-compliant website. I performed a website audit, compiled an RFP, led a committee to vet and select a final vendor, and oversaw the project from start to launch, including working with our vendor to develop a wireframe and content map and writing all website content. Additionally, I led the organization’s policy efforts during the 2023 Colorado legislative session, including writing legislative briefs, crafting hearing testimony, facilitating 30+ person Policy Committee meetings, and managing key relationships with the lobby team, state health department, and our partners. Finally, I served as a joint staff lead on the Search Committee for a new executive director and rewrote and posted the job description, reviewed and evaluated resumes, and interviewed candidates.
