      As a Broadcast Specialist on a contract with the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of Multifamily Housing Development, Ms. Matthews worked across projects to handle all distance learning required by the client. She conducted conference calls and plans, and moderated satellite broadcast training. She was also responsible for timelines and management of the documentation process. Ms. Matthews served as a liaison between the training team and the client. She also served as a roving trainer responsible for training staff assigned to several different HUD projects. In 1997, Ms. Matthews led a team of three trainers in the development of the training curriculum and documentation materials for the Development Application Processing (DAP) System. The system is designed to process multifamily underwriting, which is currently a paper-driven process. She held weekly status meetings with the government client and the prime contractor for the project to keep all stakeholders abreast of the current status. As manager of the technical development team, she was responsible for yearly staff reviews, conducting interviews and maintaining adequate qualified personnel on the project at all times.       As Project Manager on a task at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, Ms. Matthews is responsible for oversight and daily management of two contracts and 9 team members. The BAPD and OMT contracts support maintenance of BAPD processes and policies within their content management system, Author-it. These online manuals are either styled, updated and written by Ms. Matthews staff, which consists of a web designer, five content management developers and two technical writers. She manages day-to-day client interaction and client expectations; while providing direction on Government requirements, project assignments, and stakeholder and subject matter expert identification. She communicates project status, issues, risks, and mitigation plans associated with the project to Federal project managers, both orally and in writing, on a weekly and monthly basis. She develops and delivers classroom and conference-forum training and materials. Ms. Matthews has spearheaded and implemented enhancements of the internal tracking tool, automating many of the processes. Show less As Deputy Project Manager on a task at the US Census Bureau, Ms. Matthews is responsible for helping to oversee the daily management of three contracts and 30 team members. The team consists of Software Developers, Database Administrators and Quality Assurance Specialists, which is a senior software design group. Our task is to support the Census Bureaus administrative and financial systems. As a prime contractor, Ms. Matthews reports to HQ; Monthly Operations Reports (MOR), Quarterly projections and provide yearly budget details. She is also responsible for working with the security office to document applicants, some of whom may be foreign nationals in preparation for interviews and/or hiring for a public trust investigation. She prepares vacancy announcements for our recruiters; conducts phone screens and in-person interviews for potential employees.
