  Student Engineer

  As a student engineer at EA Technology, I first worked in the Overhead Lines Team, assisting with the inspection of high voltage electrical pylons.I later moved to the Development Team, where I assisted in the development of some of EA Technology's new Partial Discharge (PD) instruments. In particular, I produced an automated test and calibration software package to increase the speed and accuracy of the calibration of the UltraTEV Monitor.

  As an Electronic Engineer working in the Development Team of EA Technology, I am part of the team responsible for developing EA Technology's newest instruments designed to detect Partial Discharge (PD) in high voltage electrical systems.As part of the development process, I am involved in: - Analogue and digital circuit design - PCB layout and design - Microcontroller firmware development (particularly ARM Cortex-M) - FPGA design using VHDL - Software development using C, C++ - Selecting appropriate technologies - Writing project plans - Project management - Data analysis Show less
