  The Greenland Mission to the EU in Brussels is affiliated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Climate and part of the Government of Greenland. The Greenland Mission executes and coordinates the Government of Greenland’s interest towards the EU. Including the maintenance of the agreements between the partners most importantly: The Fisheries Partnership Agreement, The Decision on the Overseas Association including Greenland and the Joint Declaration between the EU, Denmark and Greenland. The Greenland Mission is also responsible of safeguarding Greenland’s interests related to EU’s Arctic Policy, OCTA, Greenland’s access to EU programs, The EU’s Inuit exception for seal products and more. Responsibilities: - Assist and occasionally substitute the Minister Counsellor in representing Greenland and the interests of the Government of Greenland in Brussels, - servicing the Ministries at the central administration and the Parliament - supervising interns,- plan and manage visits from the EU institutions to Greenland and from the Government of Greenland and the Parliament to Brussels,- planning and participating in meetings, seminars, conferences concerning themes relevant for Greenland: climate, security, Arctic matters, oceans, biodiversity, fisheries, renewable energy, seals and whales and other areas,- being part of the Executive Committee of OCTA representing Greenland- information production including writing minutes, reports, speeches for Greenlandic ministers, articles and public relations Show less The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Energy is responsible for the overall coordination, contact and counseling within the Government of Greenlands foreign relations.
