      My honours thesis has focused on investigating volunteer experience in the not-for-profit industry in Perth in order to design a service that will engage and attract potential volunteers aged 18-30 to homelessness support roles. The end result was a programme that supported potential volunteers prior to and throughout their engagement. Working with the partner organisation, I designed all the relevant visual promotional materials as well as a comprehensive service blueprint, outlining the programme stages. This blueprint described the various touch-points that the users had with the staff both front stage and back stage. This included intangible designs such as meetings between staff and volunteers as strategic points along their journey.My aim in undertaking this area of research was to gain experience with using graphic design thinking to contribute to social issues.       NCP Scholarship for Short Study Tour to University of Shanghai Science and Technology New Colombo Plan Scholarship Sep 2015 During this short Study tour, the small group of 10 students were welcomed to the University of Shanghai Science and Technology (USST) Printing College to participate in a series of workshops centred around the printing process. We experienced first hand CMYK press process from plate to print, as well as finishing processes including foiling and folding.
