Some of the daily activities consisted in:- Inventory of pedestrian crossing signs through Nebraska's roads with Pathweb;- Consultation in the crash accidents database for specific intersections in order to support the traffic engineers in their studies;- Designing maps to assist data collection of: speed, volume, land use.

  As a junior consultant, I assisted the team on many traffic studies with macro and microsimulations using the Aimsun software. Other studies consisted in:- Demand-responsive transportation study for an inter-municipal community in the North of Portugal;- Parking demand study for the Marquês neighborhood, in the city of Porto;- Development of the Municipal Road Safety Plan for the city of Valongo, Portugal;- Microsimulation of a BRT corridor for Boavista Avenue in Porto, Portugal.

  Working as a graduate researcher increased my knowledge of statistics and econometrics. The activities were mostly related to academia, but I could also develop skills useful in the corporate world:- Data analysis from an online survey with Python and Power BI;- Development of regression models for the ongoing research: intention to use Mobility as a Service app in Madrid Region; residential self-selection in Madrid Region.- Scientific writing.- Participation in meetings and continuous cooperation with external partners for the project's work packages.- Teaching collaboration in masters' courses: Econometrics, Transportation Systems; Transport Demand Modelling.
