      Worked for Pathways Area Mental Health for 7 years. First job was to provide Outpt. SA and MH services to incarcerated Juvenile in a Juvenile Detention Services. This program was developed by me and was known throughout the state as the best program ever developed in a NC Juvenile Detention Center. Second job about 3.5 years later was to do a Master's Level Job with Pathways providing Emergency Services, covering two counties, Gaston and Lincoln for all Emergencies that involved Substance Abuse and Mental Health issues. Suicidality and Inpatient needs were addressed and arranged based on severity of condition. Left in 2005 to work on myself and my own recovery. Show less

      Provided assessments to those consumers in crisis in both Gaston and Lincoln Counties. Covered two hospitals and call-in crisis to assist consumers in getting help with either Suicidal Ideations and/or Homicidal Ideations prior to hospitalization. Evaluated homeless clients for assistance in getting into shelters when they were in need of housing and services that did not require hospitalization. Provided suicide risk assessment and substance abuse assessments to juveniles incarcerated. Provided Staff Training on Substance Abuse and Mental Health issues and served as a crisis intervention counselor. Acted as liaison between Juvenile Courts, Social Workers and Therapists in all North Carolina counties. Facilitated on-going treatment after incarceration as well as facilitated family involvement during and after incarceration and aftercare planning.

Conduct assessments for any type of Substance Abuse problem and offer group therapy for Substance Abuse Treatment needs. Have a full-time Mental Health Professional also that provides counseling for all issues and she also specializes in Gambling Addiction. She comes very highly recommended. Show less

We do this by providing Case Mgmt. Services free, no raise in Group Rates in past 4 years, assistance in helping clients get into college or GED classes, etc. Our clients even keep coming back after they graduate.
