      As an inspector for the division, my duties consists of the inspection and education of Food Safety, Lodging, Childcare, Body Art, Recreational (pools, tanning, and fitness centers), and Solid Waste Management. I also had significant oversight of the St. Charles County Recycling Centers.Key Results: Provide lead support for the Director of Environmental Health and Protection. Met with municipality leaders to discuss the development and implementation of county codes. Liaison between the department and area business owners.       DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH DIVISION OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND PROTECTION – St. Charles, MOHealth department in a county of approximately 380,000 people.Senior executive overseeing several public health programs, staff, and operational budget for the division. The division consists of several compliance-based programs including the licensing of 3,000+ businesses. Position is responsible for overseeing various managers, line staff, and program operations. Director approves and manages annual budget and issues request for proposals (RFP) as necessary while overseeing vendor compliance. Works closely with counselor’s office on draft legislation, contracts, Freedom of Information request and other legal matters. Responsible for staying current on new and upcoming regulation, interpreting, and orchestrating the implementation of personnel to meet new and current standards. Ensures staff are adequately trained and meeting annual benchmarks in a professional manner. Key Results:• Prepare annually a million dollar budget while carefully monitoring expenditures and revenue.• Researched, identified and developed alternative funding sources.• Supervise grant development opportunities and administration of current grants. • Implement quality control/improvement practices to achieve nationally recognized standards.• Provide community wide leadership for the Department • Accept public speaking opportunities within the state/community. • Partner with regional businesses to coordinate positive outcomes and growth in the county.• Develop, recommend, and implement local, state, and federal policy. • Information liaison for any media concerns and have given several County published interviews. • Represent agency at public hearings and meetings.
