    • Dr. John D. Sanders, M.D.

      May 2005 - Jul 2007
      Intern, Office Assistant + Secretary

Between 2005-2007, I shadowed Dr. John Sanders's office and nursing staff, acting as a gopher for small requests and assisting in points of communication for patients, the pharmacy, and Trident Health Services. Aside from acquiring new and current patient information and archiving histories, the majority of my work dealt with appointments, prescription requests/refills, and relaying health questions. I was supervised and worked directly under my office manager, Kay VanBibber, as well as members of her working staff to abide by Trident Health policies and those mandated by HIPAA. Show less

    • University of South Carolina

      Oct 2007 - Apr 2008
      Undergraduate Assistant

As an undergraduate assistant, I aided my office manager, Christine Peters, and the Residential Hall Director of Preston College, Veronica Cooley with all of their needs. I concentrated my efforts on making the offices of Preston College efficient and open to the rest of the University by keeping data logs of student engagement and developing promotional campaigns through visual and audible promotions. These promotions included posters, signs, word of mouth, and USC Radio. In my position, I became well acquainted with information systems and communication by relaying e-mails, arranging individual and group meetings, and reporting data logs. Show less

    • Ye Ole Fashioned Ice Cream & Sandwich Cafe

      May 2008 - Jul 2009
      Store Supervisor

Ye Ole was a huge step in learning the value of customer service and the basics of peer management. Aside from basic management skills and fiscal responsibility, I learned how to create and maintain a clean, respectful, and fun environment for my customers and employees. I routinely evaluated the performance of my peers and suggested means for improvement. I did my best to appeal to the store's owner, Todd Lapin, fulfilling his vision and wants for the performance and appearance of his stores. This included new and ongoing employee training, strict adherence to DHEC and OSHA standards in the workplace, and strict inventory management, control, and loss prevention. Show less

    • Andolini's

      Jun 2009 - Mar 2013
Manager, Head Cashier + Employee Trainer

At Andolini’s, I continued my education and experience in business management by expanding my knowledge on inventories, customer service, customer relationship management (CRM), peer management, and working with electronic business systems. I managed 3 to 8 employees during any given shift, by overseeing their work efficiencies and ensuring their commitment to quality. As an employee trainer, I oversaw quality management in four (4) out of the five (5) Andolini’s locations by revising and implementing employee training manuals and stressing the importance of store upkeep and cleanliness on days when I was present. I also managed inventory and placed orders with suppliers on a weekly and biweekly basis for everything a store needed; ingredients, dry goods, beer purchases, etc. Show less

    • Taco Boy

      May 2012 - Apr 2013
Server, Hostess, Expo + Food Trucker

At Taco Boy I cross-trained through four different positions in a three (3) month period. I was always looking for new roles and responsibilities to take on while assisting day-to-day operations. As a hostess, I was all about making a great first impression with guests, while also taking phone orders, communicating issues with staff members, and cleaning/preparing tables for incoming guests. When I was promoted to expo, I expedited food to assigned tables and made sure they went to wherever they needed to go — likewise communicating to staff and management if grievances arose, or if a customers simply had question or request. Before I was promoted to server, I was asked to work on the food truck for catering and hosted events. Finally as a server, I assisted guests with their needs and questions they had pertaining to our food and services.+ Named Employee of the Period; Summer 2012. Show less

    • MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company

      Mar 2013 - Jan 2014
Cost Control Analyst + Container Detention, Storage & Demurrage Associate

As a cost control analyst in Toni Haynia's group, I was responsible for ensuring the authenticity and reception of maintenance and repair invoices MSC accrued through services performed on company equipment (as many as two hundred a day). I ensured the quality of rates, correct account codes, the non-duplicity of invoices, and the legitimacy of the services performed on equipment. These invoices were procured in a variety of ways, i.e. paper POs, EDIs, and invoices facilitated through our system SQLs and SharePoint. When I became an associate for the MSC Dray Off Program, I worked alongside my manager, Carol Williams, by billing and tracking customer import/export containers based on detention, storage, and demurrage charges. Our customers accrued these charges by using our equipment and use of the land (at the terminal, container yard, or rail yard) past the scheduled free time.I was the happy medium between our customers, vendors, and the MSC accounting team, assuring that our vendors got paid, accounting was never over-charged or charged twice, our equipment continued working, and our customers continued receiving their goods when and where they wanted them. I used several programs to track, sort, and relay conflicts that arose during the invoicing process; these programs included CODA, MSC Link, the M&R System, and other proprietary apps facilitated through Access, Excel, SAP, and Oracle. • Isle of Palms Municipal Water + Sewer Commission

      Jan 2014 - Aug 2016
      Office Manager + Executive Assistant

I worked two blocks from the beach on the Isle of Palms, assisting locals, renters, and visitors alike with water and wastewater services. I worked independently, overseeing and managing customer accounts that spanned the properties at Wild Dunes all the way to Breach Inlet; 4,500+ city, commercial, and residential accounts up until my departure. Each month I worked around billings, collections, and customer account services by assisting owners and renters with rate schedules, adjustments, and/or questions they had regarding their accounts and bill pay. I also assisted with equipment inspection and repair requests, e.g. broken pipes, meter maintenance, leak inquiries, etc., by putting through work orders and later filing and reporting results to customers and system operators. Many of my other duties included arranging Commission meetings and tending to the Commissioners' needs and Commission personnel. I learned a great deal about technical writing and editing for the sake of client forms and correspondence, as well as Commission event planning, its programs and what it promoted to the community (be it safe drinking water, water conservation, water maintenance, etc). All of these responsibilities were facilitated and finalized through a myriad of programs that included GIS, inHance/ICIS, Kentico, Adobe, Microsoft Office (namely Outlook, Word, Publisher, and Excel), as well as typical peer to peer, phone, and written correspondence. Tax Paraprofessional + Office Manager

I administratively serve Family Office Solutions (FOS), a professional service firm providing wealth and tax management to ultra-high net worth families living across the US. Aside from using CCH Prosystems fx Tax and Engagement for tax filings and services, my day-to-day tasks include archiving and organizing client data by using Quickbooks, SharePoint, proprietary client portals, as well as our own filing methods. I tend to our client and tax professional needs by providing research, regular contact with IRS and state offices to pursue notices, as well as coordinating transfers, contributions, estimated payments, deposits, client-vendor payments, etc. I also assist in streamlining the office for longevity planning/training (i.e. implementing our Security, Tech, and Continuity Plan, as well as anything that deals with HR), and finally website optimization and regular renewals/office needs.
