  As the Plant Manager, it is my responsibility to run the day to day operations of the Invigor Bioenergy, Lethbridge, Oleo-chemical Facility. I report to the President and the Executive Board and oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the adherence to standard operating procedures, internal controls, preventative maintenance protocols and regulatory compliance. I assist the Executive Board in establishing and implementing operational goals, objectives, policies and procedures, ensuring that the Boards decisions are carried out operationally. I oversee employee training and conduct performance reviews while identifying, reporting and correcting safety and environmental concerns.Other specific responsibilities include:  Overseeing and incorporating facility safety and environmental policies Ensuring compliance with ABSA, OH&S and all federal and provincial requirements Overseeing the implementation and execution of the BQ9000 certification program Generating operational analysis reports for the management team as required Reviewing logs, datasheets and reports to ensure adequate production levels Preparing required reports related to inventory, maintenance and production Monitoring meters, flow gauges or other real time data to ensure proper operation Shutting down or restarting plant or equipment in emergency and maintenance situations Overseeing construction/maintenance activities performed by outside contractors Leading cost and downtime reduction activities, and ensuring instructions are followed Recommending proposals for acquisition, replacement or repairs of biodiesel processing equipment Developing short and long range strategic plans and establishing clear, measurable goals and objectives for managers and employees Conferring with technical and supervisory personnel to report or resolve conditions affecting biofuels plant safety, operational efficiency and product quality Show less
