Beginning with a meager budget, two vendor resources, and a vague idea, I created a mature and profitable business.   I was hired to coach the Ballard Boys lacrosse team part-time in 2015. Working closely with volunteer board of directors and school administration I resolved many long-standing personnel issues within the team and put them on a path towards a single vision: To play as a family and learn to win forever, on and off the field. The hard work has paid off with the program having a complete turn-around. Going from a dismal record (regularly finishing 2-7, 1-10) to a record setting season in 2017. Going 17-2, staying undefeated in Metro and making it to the second round of the state tournament for the first time in team history. Even more impressive was the change in player behavior within the team and the school, with all players raising their GPA’s by a 1 point average across the board and being recognized as leaders in the local community.   In the fall of 2016 I decided to take a risk; leave my cushy IT desk job and start a company working with local youth organizations to provide fitness and health training to children of all ages. Utilizing “Ninja Warrior” and “Mud Run” components, the goal was to instill a life-long love for physical fitness and confidence to overcome fears and try new things. I’ve loved every minute of my time working with the kids involved and can honestly say that I have made a real, positive difference in their lives. I learned a great deal about business management during this time. Heading into the fall of 2017 I’ve scaled back to 1 on 1 and small group youth lacrosse coaching. Show less

  I manage a hybrid team of 28 diverse engineers (Full-Stack Dev, SRE, DevSecOps, Cyber, PM) who work across multiple customer workloads to deliver highly secure applications and environments for CloudFit internal and customers such as Microsoft FastTrack, Microsoft O365 Admin Portal, DoD AFCENT, GE and more. Personally, I own the account relationship with Microsoft, determining work effort requirements, sourcing personnel, budget and contract negotiations. Directly, I am a fully engaged member of the Microsoft portion of our engagement, leading the security and compliance architecture design and delivery as the SME for FastTrack DevSecOps. This includes Azure 1ES, SDL Build Pipelines, Executive Order, SOC2, ISO 27001 compliance through manual (hands-on) and systematic (automated) remediations via IaaC, Azure policy, custom monitoring and reporting. As the Program Manager Architect, I have driven adoption of industry standards for secure software delivery, IaaS and support within CloudFit and among client engagements. These efficiencies enabled CloudFit to continue growth, tripling the presence with Microsoft as we were able to take on more, especially those “tough jobs” that other vendors struggled to deliver.
