  After deciding to move abroad to teach, I spent two years as an English and homeroom teacher at Ghars International School in Muscat, Oman.   After working in the Middle East for two years, I decided to move to China. My role started out teaching online due to the coronavirus pandemic, which was challenging but valuable experience. After finally landing in China (November 2020) I worked as an English and Homeroom Teacher in Years 4 and 5 (U.K. equivalent of year 5 and 6). I taught the English National curriculum to Chinese students of varying abilities, from beginner English to near native speakers. Key achievements and experiences include:- Creation and delivery of adapted schemes of work for speakers with English as an additional language. - Maintaining a high level of both public and stakeholder relations to enhance the public image of the workplace.- Developing skills teaching online to overseas students through the pandemic, using a range of software.
