  Introduction:Improved a search component of Elastic Block Store Managed Stages test platform which enabled customers to search among 3 DynamoDB tables with a total of more than 10,000 items.Contribution:Upgraded the search mechanism from keyword matching to semantically matching using the Elasticsearch engine.Indexed and ingested data to the Elasticsearch engine with average 0.169s insert latency and 300kb data size using Java, Dagger, and AWS Cloudformation. Constructed UI for Managed Stages, adopted with React, NodeJS, and Typescript.Launched this Elasticsearch component with 2ms search latency and 0.169s insertion latency.Impact:The customers are available to use a search engine to search for items semantically. while they can only search the first 100 items by keyword matching before.Reduced average search time of 100+ EBS engineers from 10s to 2ms by 99.998%.
