  I became a full time member of staff after previously operating part time hours. I was moved to a different area of the store. Shop floor tasks allowed me to interact with customers in a more in depth manor, giving out key advice and opinions on their projects to be completed. My general knowledge of DIY and the products and services that the company provides have vastly increased since full time employment. Every Wednesday I was on the closing shift, this required me to manage a small team of staff and make sure that all the allocated tasks were completed and to the highest possible standard. Within a year of working, I earned the selection of being the next fork lift driver in which I successfully completed the course in May 2015. This shows that I have great responsibility with the operation of two different trucks being important for staff and customer safety when in use. On several occasions my manager at the time chose me to represent our store when travelling to other stores around the South East of England when they are opening up. My tasks when visiting these stores included training their staff in key operations and also organising sections of the store. Furthermore, I was voted as colleague of month on 3 separate occasions for excelling in my day to day work. Show less Around my school studies I was also a part time employee at Wickes Extra in Aylesbury. My contracted hours were on Saturday and Sunday. I was a member of this organization for over 3 years and I was able to develop my skills as a person and as a worker during my time there. My job role included operating a till, managing the customer service desk when needed and operating stock levels. Therefore, I believe that I have very good communication skills portrayed by a high level of confidence when working with other people and helping customers to provide the highest level of service that I can offer. I was in charge of the customer service section of the store on a number of occasions which shows that I am trustworthy and developing fast and well as a member of the team. Show less
