Whilst on the Insights visit in New York City I attended events and meeting at several incredible organisations including the UN development office, the Wall Street journal and Thomson Reuters. The programme was the best experience of my academic life so far and I feel so incredibly fortunate to have been able to learn from the amazing individuals within the organisations. I developed my existing resilience, gained countless invaluable experiences and gained insight into professional work spaces. In preparation for embarking on the Insights programme I completed an Edinburgh Award which involved identifying three key skills to develop and setting goals of how to get there. I found this process to be incredibly important in terms of self-reflection and increasing personal growth. Show less
