Show less In January 2001 I joined the board of Directors and was responsible for all financial aspects of the business including working capital management, finance and banking. I also reported back to shareholders each year at our AGM and managed all IT and communication issues. Key achievements included: • Relocating a loss-making business from Corby into our main factory and managing the associated personnel issues• Working alongside a team that purchased a small stainless steel metal fabricator• Helping grow the fabrication side of the business• Working in partnership with the trustee board to manage the final salary pension scheme • Formulating strategic objectives for the business • Creating a capital expenditure plan and negotiating the purchase of our automated punch press cell Show less In June 1990, I became responsible for the half yearly management of accounts and I reported to the Financial Director. My role also involved corresponding with the annual financial auditors and conducting yearly valuations of WIP stock.Key achievements included: • Introducing a monthly management accounts system in a spread sheet format which was reported back to the board of directors• Analysing the cost of the manufacturing process of light control equipment and advising on areas for savings• Contributing to the information needed for the sale of the lighting manufacturing division in 1996 and 1997• Introducing and managing the implementation of a new ERP system for the Parry business• Conducting a feasibility study for in-house manufacturing of fabrication for our catering products Show less
