  As the Assistant Manager at the smallest branch in the Queens Library system, I am responsible for maintaining and marketing our collections to meet our community's needs. Developing Programming for all of our age groups is something that I enjoy. I worked on projects that will leverage AR and VR technologies to expand patrons' skills and experiences in the library. As one of the resident pop culture experts, I enjoy highlighting our graphic novels and manga collection. I am responsible for the day to day management of the branch and am the person in charge whenever the manager is not on duty. As a member of the Queens Library LGBTQ+ Allies committee, I am committed to making the library a space that truly everyone feels welcome in. Show less I worked as the reference librarian in a fast paced branch, working to provide excellent reference services for patrons of all ages. This included answering simple and complex reference questions, helping patrons with computer questions, and handling day to day activities within the library. I also presented and planned programming for all patrons who visit our branch, working closely with our children's Librarian to provide special family oriented programming. I also developed a solid relationship with some of our branch's teens, by helping them with their homework and lending an ear when need. I was also responsible for maintaining part of the branch's collection. I promoted and updated the manga/ graphic novel collection, as well as the Young Adult and history collection. Show less

  As the head of the circulation department, I am repsonsipible for the largest and busiest department in the library. I also increased usage in our digital library as the collection manager for our Hoopla and Libby platforms. Branigan's media department continues to be the most popular family section of our materials with the focus on continued collection improvements.
