My daily duties included using the I.T system in place at Currys, and providing good customer service. From November 2006- October 2010 I worked at the Doncaster branch of Currys, here I was one of the Computing experts where I passed on my knowledge to other staff.   I was employed as a Junior and within a year was promoted to IT Support Analyst as the company felt i had learned enough to carry our my role unsupported. Within a year I had learnt how to administrate Active Directory and assign access rights to internal and external customers to the required files and systems. Within my time at Direct Group I was shown how to program telephone lines using the Avaya site administration program and how to route them to the necessary team using callmedia. With this also came the need to recover archived call recordings using Redbox. Within the company we used other bespoke call recording systems. I further built my experience of keeping to tight deadlines, ensuring telephone and software systems have been provisioned in time for various scheme launches. This role included 1st and 2nd lines of support and I have traveled to various sites to ensure my colleagues have had the solution they required. Show less
