  After the State reclassified their 2 Sequencing Batch Reactor treatment plant to a Class 3 facility they required a WW III to be the CPO for the system, I was contacted and agreed to help them while their staff catches up. It was an easy decision for me, Mount Hermon does a lot of good things for a lot of people and so I joined up to help.As my time helping Mount Hermon comes to an end I can only thank them and their awesome staff for the opportunity to work with a gold standard organization like Mount Hermon and a dedicated, well trained, and highly motivated staff.   • Oversee the operation and maintenance of a 1.5 MGD Activated Sludge treatment plant, with Bar Screens, Washer/Compactor, Grit Removal, Fine Bubble Aeriation, Secondary Clarifiers, and a Chlorine Contact Basin. Supervises 5 certified operators, an ELAP certified lab, and lab manager, regulatory sampling, SMR, SSO, CIWQS, and NPDES permit requirements and reporting. • Set schedules, on call and vacations, employee evaluations, mentoring and discipline.• Oversee the operation and maintenance of Single Batch Reactor Class III plant, 2 Sewer Lift Stations, regulatory sampling, and NPDES permit requirements, supervise 2 certified operators.• 1 MGD Tertiary Water Recycling plant with multimedia filters with UV and chorine disinfection, regulatory sampling, SMR, CIWQS, permit requirements and reporting.• Maintain an adequate supply of recycled water to meet the system demand.• 40 + miles of collection system, 8 miles of force main and 8 lift stations. • Responsible for two budgets per year, a wastewater/ collections and Tertiary treatment budget that is shared with the Scotts Valley Water District.• Oversee a Source Control Program.• Supply Pasatiempo Golf Club with secondary water for their Tertiary treatment water recycling system.• Evaluate / troubleshoot process, equipment, vehicles, and buildings for replacement/maintenance / CIP, prioritize projects, set schedules, research new equipment, prepare staff reports, review plans and submittals, and give tours.• Point of Contact for customers, contractors, consultants, and venders. Show less Sharing the duties with the City Engineer for the vacant Directors spot you realize everything it requires to operate a department, City Hall and the other departments, overseeing the divisions/managers, managing the CPI's, and residents, but it's your staff that are the main concern, I can buy cars and trucks, pumps and motors, backhoes and dump trucks, but with out their support you will not be able to achieve the strategic goals for the department. I think my career experience, industry knowledge, and established relationships gives me the opportunity to help them achieve the goals of the District for its customers and Board of Directors.
