      At Unilever, I was an intern in the Central Engineering department. I worked on multiple projects and tasks during the internship, most important of which are as follows:• Analysed R&M (Repair and Maintenance) ledgers for past five years to identify major recurrent & non-recurrent items and performed root cause analysis to propose relevant cost saving projects • In-depth process study of WWTP (Waste Water Treatment Plant) to discover gaps and bottlenecks in the entire system. Suggested different measures to improve the efficiency of WWTP in terms of water quality and quantity• Performed THAs (Task Hazard Analysis) of tasks in the chemical storage area and presented a modified design of chemical storage in light of findings of THAs to make it compliant with OSHA and Unilever standards • Proposed modified design for existing vapour recovery system from vacuum kettles using liquid-ring vacuum pumps to make the vacuum pump sealing water cyclic and performed calculations for the modified system. The project was a part of reducing the water footprint initiative at Unilever • Examined the entire HVAC supply air duct network in the production area to point out infiltration points and initiated different actions for their effective closure. Also, proposed different HVAC load reduction projects• Conducted survey of whole compressed air network in the factory to trace the existing network for P & ID verification and gaps identification Show less
