    • MicroSourcing

      Jul 2010 - Feb 2015

I developed MicroSourcing's Corporate Social Responsibility department from ground-up and established systems that institutionalized CSR in the company’s ethos. I designed and implemented a signature impact sourcing program that connected out-of-school youth to higher-paying jobs in outsourcing, and to increase our impact, influenced and advised business groups in implementing similar programs. For employee engagement, I organized 30+ events and campaigns that contributed 3,500+ volunteer hours and raised US$100k for initiatives in education, healthcare, disaster rehabilitation, and youth development. I also managed the CSR budget and allocated resources to programs that create shared value for MicroSourcing and its stakeholders.MicroSourcing is a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firm with 4,000 employees. http://www.microsourcing.com/CSR/Philanthropy | Corporate Social Responsibility | Program Development | Project Management | Stakeholder Management | Budgeting | Nonprofits | Social Enterprises | Volunteer Management | Technology for Nonprofits | Youth Training | Youth Development | Youth Employment | Youth Empowerment | Education | Fundraising | Impact Sourcing | Process Development | Sustainability Show less

I provided strategic fundraising and organizational services to nonprofits and social enterprises working in multiple sectors (agriculture, rural development, job creation) and geographies (Asia, Africa, Latin America). Our team developed grant proposals and reports for funders such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, UK DFID, USAID Development Innovation Ventures (DIV), Skoll Foundation, and many other institutional foundations and aid agencies. Jul 2022 - now
      Program Director

Green Empowerment works with in-country partners to build clean water and renewable energy infrastructure with Indigenous and rural communities across the globe. We support local leaders with fundraising and technical support, and build leadership and technology capacity within communities. All of our projects involve the establishment of community based leadership committees who manage tariff setting and collection, maintenance and operations of the energy or water infrastructure, and the overall long-term sustainability of these systems. We work with 20+ local partners in 10 countries and have developed 250+ infrastructure projects supporting over 480,000+ people and 120 schools and clinics since our establishment in 1997. In an evaluation of GE’s 27 energy and water projects installed with partners in 2009 - 2019, 97% of the 27 sites are still fully operational and funded by community-managed tariff revenues.I manage Green Empowerment's projects and contributions under the Sabah Renewable Energy Rural Electrification (RE2) Roadmap - an initiative that charts a course to 100% energy access in Sabah, Malaysia. The RE2 Roadmap aims to reach 200+ unelectrified villages with renewable energy mini-grids to power our community partners' desired livelihoods, equipment and facilities including health clinics and village schools.
