      I am currently pursuing research as part of my graduate studies in Dr. Krishna Boini's laboratory. My thesis study aims at understanding the pharmacological contribution of high mobility group box (HMGB)-1 towards driving cigarette smoke induced podocyte injury and glomerulosclerosis. Beyond my thesis study, I have also led studies aiming towards comprehending the role of gut microbial metabolite trimethyl-N-oxide (TMAO) towards mediating endothelial injury and initiating atherogenesis.
