Responsibilities included:● Participated in writing technical proposals and status reports, giving presentations and designing multimedia literature in support of various research and development programs up to $500K for DARPA, NASA, AFRL, Army and industrial partners.● Researched advanced concepts, reviewed literature, prepared feasibility studies, presented computational analysis, drafted test procedures and safety protocols, modified test facilities, conducted experiments, and interpreted empirical data.● Designed and implemented circuits and constructed prototypes of custom hardware and software systems to support various research projects by providing process control, mechatronic automation, material characterization benchmarking and data logging services.● Delegated tasks for the research team to comply with deadlines and budget constraints.● Developed a wireless power transmission system achieving 50% conversion efficiency using high-intensity laser power beaming and advanced photovoltaic cells along with a thermal control system for the AFRL.● Constructed an integrated electrical power, communications and electronic instrumentation system in a Micro Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (MUAV) for in-air refueling of electric aircraft.● Increased the strength of glass and the conductivity of metal 3 fold by imbedding Multi-Wall Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT) during the manufacturing process for DARPA & Boeing.● Utilized MatLAB/Simulink, Maple, Mathematica, MathCAD, AutoCAD, MPlab, Quartus II, Eagle, PSpice, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp & Office Suite software.
