  This was a brand new position that I was contracted out through Sodexo to take part in. As someone who is passionate about serving my community, I took my role very seriously. I served as a community dietitian while in this role. The team and I accomplished many tasks revolving around food security, nutrition quality, and nutrition education for children and adults alike. While in this role, I completed many projects alongside the team such as forming a Nutrition Policy Committee committee, ranking purchased food products within the decided upon HER ranking system, creating multiple recipe booklets, writing the nutrition policy and overview, creating brochures, posters, and video presentations, attending multiple trainings by Leah's Food Pantry and WellScan, aiding Purdue Extension's diabetes shopping day and education, preparing questionnaires to rank data from Catholic Charities of Terre Haute's neighbor agencies, providing nutrition education based games at family fun nights with the Ryves youth center, connecting the American Dairy Association of Indiana with the Ryves youth center, and passing out free food and educational booklets to our neighbors at a community health fair where vaccines, checkups, and hair cuts were also offered.
