      I managed the Maryland Strategic Prevention Framework Grant (MSPF) to reduce underage drinking in Carroll County, MD. I coordinate the coalition which is a grant requirement and partner with many dedicated, hard working people within our community. I am the public relations person and I market the underage drinking campaigns which are chosen by the coalition. Data collecting and reporting on the coalition's progress at the local, state and federal levels are just some of my duties. Substance Abuse Prevention Office outreach events include Carroll County’s Kick-Off on May 14, 2015 commemorating National Prevention Week sponsored by SAMHSA and the End of Summer Sober Block Party on September 10, 2015 sponsored by the Carroll County Coalition Agaisnt Underage Drinking (Substance Abuse Prevention Office), Carroll County Tobacco Use Prevention Coalition and Carroll Community College CAB. Other substance abuse prevention campaigns supported by the Maryland Strategic Prevention Framework were featured, such as Be a True Friend social media campaign and Parents Who Host Lose the Most underage drinking prevention. The Drug Enforcement Administration sponsored opioid prevention Public Service Announcement clip was also included as well as McDaniel College’s Simulated Impaired Driving Experience (SIDNE) educational program.
