      In my Ph.D., I have worked on a protozoan parasite Cryptosporidium. Cryptosporidium parvum and Cryptosporidium hominis are the leading cause of diarrhea in a variety of vertebrate hosts. Cryptosporidium can also be a potential threat for bioterrorism; I studied its epidemiology, novel diagnostic development and In-silico approaches for possible therapeutic interventions for cryptospordiosis management. Cryptosporidium parvum and Cryptosporidium hominis are the leading cause of diarrhea in a variety of vertebrate hosts. This IMRVI study is a collaborative project between ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) and JHU (Johns Hopkins University) to estimate age-specific population immunity to measles and rubella viruses in India. The serosurveys will be conducted in nine states of the country in selected districts. In this project, I am working as a site coordinator in Uttar Pradesh, where the study is conducted in Kanpur Nagar district. Show less
