  During my BSc graduation project, I worked on a project in the Plant-Microbe Interactions group at Utrecht University. This research was focused on the interaction between microbes and the plant rhizosphere. Specifically, we strove to discover what genes in the Pseudomonas bacteria contribute to an enhanced rhizosphere competence.   After graduating, I got the opportunity to work in the Biotechnology lectorate of Inholland. I was responsible for keeping labspaces tidy and clean. Furthermore, I helped teachers with their research projects, that they do part-time next to lecturing.
