      My Primary assignment has been to establish a maintenance facility to support Schneider's Intermodal operation near the new CSX terminal in North Baltimore OH. Including:• Selecting the site for the facility• Working with vendors and contractors to convert an existing storage building into a shop• Moving Schneider's maintenance team and equipment from Marion, OH to the new North Baltimore shop• Setting up a parts room with bin locations, in/max reorder system and a cycle count inventory accuracy system• Interviewing and hiring new associates• Leading the maintenance team• Conducting regular business partnership meetings• Performance appraisals• Assisting my employees with their individual development plans to reach their career goals• Responsible for achieving shop key metrics including; productivity, repair quality, standard repair time compliance and estimated completion time accuracy• Instill a safety culture, including conducting weekly safety refresher training• Perform weekly safety assessments to ensure OSHA compliance Show less My Primary assignment for Schneider Canada was to import the Schneider company culture to the Schneider Maintenance facility in Guelph Ontario, to improve the shop metric performance up to Schneider standards, recruit, hire and train a management team to replace me, including the parts technician, lead technician, service adviser and shop supervisor and complete this assignment in less than three years. Three years was the duration of the work permit that was granted to me by the Canadian government.I accomplished this by:• Establishing a residence in Canada• Working 25 days on 5 days off for the first year• Redesigned the entire shop work flow process in a 5 S LEAN fashion, from work order write up, to mechanic assignment, part availability, shop tool placement and returning the finished vehicle to the customer• Coordinate and Schedule both self paced online and instructor lead training for the technicians• Audit repair orders to ensure that we were collecting all information needed for warranty recovery• Completely redesign the service advisers station to include visual tracking work flow boards for both the shop work schedule and to monitor the progress of the trucks and trailers through the shop• Ensured compliance with Ontario Motor Carrier Standards to maintain the shops Ontario Inspection Station license• Represented Schneider at the Transportation Maintenance & Technology Association in Canada• Worked with the Canadian Boarder Services Agency to Ensure the maintenance facility remained PIP (Partners in Protection) complaint• Worked with US Customs and Border Protection to ensure the maintenance facility remained CTPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) complaint Show less My primary responsibility for this assignment was to lead the maintenance team located on a customer’s property to repair and maintain their fleet of refrigerated trailers and yard horse truck.
