  Oversees waste management and recycling, and the preventative and corrective maintenance of buildings, systems and equipment. Leads and supervises classified custodial staff of 37+ including scheduling 24 hour coverage, and performing hiring, evaluation and disciplining of employees. Plans, implements, and manages the personnel and operational supply budget. Assists in preparing the plant operations budget including preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrading of equipment, software and capital projects. Ensures compliance with all life safety codes, and environmental/hazardous waste, waste management and recycling regulations. Interacts with a diverse set of individualsincluding all levels of administration, faculty, staff, students, central stores, contractors, employment services, vendors and other various external representatives. Job requires well-developed verbal, documentation, and group process/team building skills. Skill in developing harmonious relationships and gaining trust and cooperation is essential.
