      - Set up and operate machines, such as furnaces, baths, flame-hardening machines, and electronic induction machines, that harden, anneal, and heat-treat metal- Read production schedules and work orders to determine processing sequences, furnace temperatures, and heat cycle requirements for objects to be heat-treated- Adjust controls to maintain temperatures and heating times, using thermal instruments and charts, dials and gauges of furnaces, and color of stock in furnaces to make setting determinations- Record times that parts are removed from furnaces to document that objects have attained specified temperatures for specified times- Reduce heat when processing is complete to allow parts to cool- Determine temperatures and quenching media needed to attain specified part hardness, toughness, and ductility, using heat-treating charts and knowledge of methods, equipment, and metals.- The pre-heat, post heat and stretch of all newly welded gas pipes and new pipe sections on the plant and offshore platforms.- The inspection of the pipes and welding sections that has been heat treated.- The inspection of the heat treatment machines, job charts and cables.- To make sure all heat treatment equipment are safe and in working condition at all times.- The monitoring of the heat treatment machines and heaters while the job is running.- The replacement of faulty heaters and cables.- To make sure all work are done safely and that the area you work in is also safe for you and other to perform their duties.- To ensure that all the necessary PPE is used when performing work and that all PPE is safe to be use.by- To adhere to all SHE policies and rules at all times.
