    • Simplified AC Serives Inc.

      Oct 1999 - Aug 2006
      President

Simplified AC Services Inc. was created by myself to be a manufacturer of auxiliary cabinets and switchgear for the UPS industry, this meant designing a matrix of over 230 different styles of configuration of products. These items included Battery cabinets, DC landing cabinets, Transformer input and output cabinets and automatic and manual Maintenance Bypass cabinets. This project required that the cabinets themselves also were an exact match to the actual OEM's, these included Mitsubishi, Powerware and APC. After completing the design phase the next step was finding a suitable location within our budget with ample space in order to have an office and large enough space for assembly and manufacturing. Once found in Prescott, ON. The next phase was construction of a 2000 sq. ft. office which included a reception area, office space, executive office, cafeteria, clean up area, bathroom and an 8000 sq. ft., assembly area. The next phase was looking for qualified employees so that a minimal amount of training was required. Standerisation of the products was the next training item required for the technicians in order that each style of cabinet was completed in the same manner as the first one was. Once these steps were completed successfully. I went to ETL to get certifications on all cabinets manufactured and assembled, these were completed by attaining cETLus under CSA 1778 and 208 guidelines. I was responsible for operations, sales and assembly and final delivery and installation of the products sold. Once all of these items were completed things ran smoothly until the company was sold.
