  Report to, assist, and encourage the Board of Trustees in all matters of governing and policy making and strategic planning regarding community needs, goal setting, service analysis and ongoing progress. Work with the Board in interpreting and establishing budgetary and financial responsibility. Meet with and report to community governing councils in regard to Library activities and to ensure ongoing funding. Hire and supervise staff and volunteers and promote team work. With a strong focus on public service, generate and implement programming for all demographics of the service area population within the library and outreach services. Oversee and perform all aspects of collection development, including cataloging, for all demographics of the service area. Provide technology and information services to all ages of patrons, including, but not limited to, circulating materials, ready reference, reader’s advisory, research, database searching, educational and career assistance, and basic computer classes. Collaborate with the local school district, educators, and literacy advocate groups to provide in-house and community educational services. Record, generate and report service, circulation, and financial statistics for ongoing analysis and State Report requirements. Encourage and maintain rapport and networking with other librarians in the District. Attend meetings, workshops, and training to facilitate personal professional growth as well as the growth of F. D.
