      The Student Chapter of the American Hotel and Lodging Association at Penn State is a fairly new organization. We are partnered with the national American Hotel and Lodging Association as well as the local branch, Pennsylvania Tourism and Lodging Association. Through these two professional organizations we are presented with multiple opportunities to attend conferences, meetings, and different types of industry events. Also, through the student chapter, we are setting up a mentor program for industry professionals to help students along their college careers. We are still in growth stages, however, the club has tripled in dedicated membership this year and is quickly accelerating to an established organization in the Penn State community. As former president, I will be assisting the club throughout the fall semester this year in gaining membership and communicating with other student chapters across the country. Show less
