  The TIPSY program is an injury prevention program that is offered to high school students in the Greater Toronto Area. As one of the designated lead adult trauma hospitals in Toronto, the staff at St. Michael’s Hospital provide expert information on injury prevention strategies for youth. The program is taught by an inter-professional team of nurses, physicians, and representatives from Toronto Police Services, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), Simulation Center Experience of a resuscitation of a Trauma and a Voice of Injury Prevention (VIP). The VIP is a trauma survivor who has sustained a brain or spinal cord injury and recounts first-hand the events leading up to his/her injury, its consequences and lasting effects. Show less
