I also assisted in recognising new and changing client targets and I continually sought new and alternative approaches to works delivery to ensure service delivery was value for money, responsive and that we not only maintain our good reputation but improved it to enable us to secure future work.I have an excellent working knowledge of the latest construction and engineering techniques and regularly keep up to date with the latest industry innovations. I fully understand and have put into practice the principals behind lean thinking techniques and I actively seek ways in which to reduce costs and to deliver a more effective service Show less To manage the maintenance of the area highway network including budgets, inspections, planning, programming, design and management of works undertaken by Highways Operations.Direct management of the team with a fte headcount of approx 12 professional and technical staff, 30 front line operatives and a number of Sub Contractors, including all performance and health and safety related aspects.Financial responsibility for construction and maintenance works with a value of circa £3 million and for design services with a fee value of circa £250k.
